Promo video
- A video is optional for apps, but games need one to appear in some parts of Google Play.
- You add one video as a YouTube URL. Use the link to a single video, not a playlist or a channel, and leave out extras such as timecodes.
- The video must be public or unlisted, embeddable, not age-restricted, and have ads turned off.
- Google recommends showing the real app within the first 10 seconds and keeping most of the video representative of the user experience. Only the first 30 seconds autoplay.
For Apple's version of the rules, see app preview video requirements.
Do and don't
Do
- Upload at least 4 phone screenshots at 1080 px or more.
- Put the best screenshot first. It carries the most weight.
- Use short, readable headlines and show real screens.
- Add alt text up to 140 characters to every graphic.
- Provide tablet screenshots if your app supports tablets.
Don't
- Don’t upload images with an alpha channel (screenshots, feature graphic).
- Don’t make a side shorter than 320 px or longer than 3840 px.
- Don’t use an extreme aspect ratio: the long side can be at most twice the short side.
- Don’t put key text near the edge of the feature graphic.
- Don’t make the icon claim a ranking, price or category.
